About Us
Welcome to Beach Haven Scout Group. Beachhaven Scouts is a small group based on the north shore of Auckland, New Zealand. We are a joint land and sea scout troop and do both land and sea based activities. Beachhaven Scout Group covers ages 5-18 in the following sections:
- Keas (age 5-8) 5-6pm Tuesdays
- Cubs (age 8-11) 6-7:30pm Tuesdays
- Scouts (age 11-15) 7-9pm Thursdays
- Venturers (age 15-18) 7-9pm Thursdays
Scouts and Venturers use the Boat shed next to Beachhaven wharf on Larks Landing during Terms 1 and 4 Beachhaven Scouts follows the principles of the Scout Association of New Zealand which are:
PRINCIPLES
- The aim of the Scout Association is to encourage the physical, mental, social, and spiritual development of young people so that they may take a constructive place in society.
- The method of achieving the aim of the Scout Association is by providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the Scout Promise and Law and guided by adult leadership.
- The principles and practice of the Scout Association are founded on the Scout Promise and the Scout Law.
